Who is behind this?
Hello! I'm Nastya. I was born and raised in Mariupol, and my sweet story began in 2018.
Since childhood, I dreamed of having my own pastry shop, so I first entered a technical school for food production, and then continued my studies at university. At the age of 18, I was already working in a kitchen, and at 22, I became a pastry chef for the first time - and I was immensely proud of it.
My career took an amazing turn: I was a Chief pastry , then a souce-chief and a Chief at a club restaurant. In 2021, I left my restaurant job and completely immersed myself in home baking - these were special times, after which there was no turning back.
Three months after the start of the full-scale war, I moved to Georgia, where I worked for two years as a pastry chief in a prestigious restaurant with a Michelin-starred Chief
In parallel, at night in my home kitchen, I continued to delight people with macarons and cakes. And these people still, even almost two years later, write me incredibly warm words about my work - and that is priceless. I miss them too, but it is time to move on.
Later I moved to the Netherlands, where I gained experience as a pastry in a Michelin-starred restaurant in the center of Amsterdam.and now I'm working again in a small home kitchen and I'm happy to do it
Since 2018, I have been creating the story of Baba - a journey full of changing countries, tastes and people. Everything I do, I carry with love, dedication, passion and the desire to create.
